I slept the majority of the ten hour overnight bus ride from Amsterdam to Berlin. Getting in at 6 AM to a bus station at an unknown location in Berlin was a wonderful test of our travel savvy, we survived. We made it to our hostel, Heart of Gold, and luckily they didn't make us wait to check in. We went right upstairs and napped.
We started with another free walking tour, equally freezing, but this one lasted almost four hours and covered just about everything on our list of things we wanted to see. We learned so much about the city and how it changed during WWII and under Communism, the history of the city is really mind blowing.
After the tour we were both done for the day. We found a cute restaurant, ate sausage, drank beer, and had an easy night.

We woke up early the next day to catch our tour of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp north of the city. The camp was a very throught provoking experience. I'm really glad we did it, and our tour was very informative, but it was a very exhausting day.
After our tour we headed to the East Side Gallery, a 1.3 km long section of the wall that still stands that has been painted by over 100 artists as an international memorial to freedom. The gallery was one of my favorite parts of Berlin.
Our last morning we went to see the Parliament building and went to an amazing chocolate shop for a treat and souvenirs, and then off to Prague.
