I created this blog to document my application for the Peace Corps. In October I was invited to serve in the health extension program to Sub-Saharan Africa departing in early 2013 but declined because of an unexpected illness in the family. Originally, in anticipation of future adventures, and to document the never ending application process, I created this blog to share with friends, family, and perhaps other individuals going through the process!
Although my Peace Corps adventure was put on hold, I am beginning the journey again to become a Peace Corps volunteer.
One of my largest sources of information from my first application came from other people's experiences. Because of that, I have decided to leave information on this blog about my first application process & assignment for other perspective Peace Corps volunteers even though the application process has changed. I was also be documenting my current application process.
